First of all, this album is brilliant. I think all the songs just go so well with the album title. I really fell for this song when the album came out. I think it is beautiful and I just love the first verse. I can really relate to it: "Aimless am I Listless I'm the blunt of the knife Drifting to the corners of life" I think that first part is amazingly written. Anyway, I believe this song is about being lonely and bored with life and trying to get out of that mindset. The first verse really shows that (to me at least). And the narrator of the song is probably in love with 'Ayla', and he thinks she can make him happy and change his life around for the better. He dreams about being with her: "It's a weight off my mind I could trust you, you could tell me it's fine I could sew you a stitch and save nine Ayla" That's my short interpretation of it. I really don't have any other explanation, but I would be more than glad to get feedback and other ideas to what this might be about. Thanks. |

| It's suppossed to be Chakacha, isn't it? Chakacha is a traditional music and dance style in Kenya. It's the Swahili people who dances it at weddings and such. | |

I'm not vegetarian, and I don't really know how people can stand being vegetarians, but these lyrics are amazing! Extremely graphic and makes you think about what you actually eat when you're sitting there with a big steak infront of you. Amazing. Simply amazing. |

I really love this song. I think a lot of people, even the ones that live in bigger cities, can relate to it. I think that a lot of people have felt the feeling that they just want to get out and move some place else and start over and that they don't fit in. I have listened to Kings of Leon for a LONG time and i still love them, even though their new music isn't as good as the old music that they used to make. But some of their newer songs are really good anyway. Go go Kings of Leon! |
