K, so, wether the lyrics are correct or not, I just wanted to give my point of view on this one; Well, the guy's kind of crazy, we've seen this fictional downhill character since their first record. So, when his talking about barred windows, he might mean a mental institution. Then he talks about "Taking you for granted, you were holding the (Probably "rails" instead of "Rains"). Now, what I'm going for here, is; I think he's talking to the voices in his head. If we agree on the fact that he's inside of a mental institution, when he goes to the chorus saying "I can here you louder than ever" and "I can't see you but we're stil together"; He's telling us the medication, electroshocks or whathaveyou, took away the visions of imaginary people, just not the voices, which he still hears. Louder than ever. |
