| Jimmy Eat World – Kill Lyrics | 10 years ago |

I think that this song is about someone liking someone else but knowing that nothing could ever happen because the other person doesn't feel the same (kind of like deep friendzoned). He's nervous going to talk to her and saying that he's always been the easy kill. He talks about wanting her bad through the whole song and he knows in himself that he should let all of that go because she doesn't feel the same way as he does. In the middle of the song we get the reference that she had just broken up with her boyfriend by him saying that he wishes she would tell him that all the waiting wasn't for no reason. Then, knowing she doesn't fell the same way she tells him to leave before he tries anything again. Then comes the best part of the song in my opinion : I know what you want to say I know it but can't help feeling differently I loved you And I should have said it Tell me just what has it ever meant If you've ever been in this state you'd probably get this and this verse probably gets to you because knowing you love someone and wanting to tell him or her is the hardest thing, I think, knowing it wouldn't mean anything and more so make you feel bad and put you down. Very strong and heartfelt lyrics. |

Great song, I believe it's about trying to make it work with a partner even though it's not succeeding and it's pretty much non fixable. And by the way, In the chorus and the last verse it's "Looks like" and not "And Try" |

Actually i believe that this song is talking about her leaving and then coming back to him. Bedshaped not meaning it's a dream rather the shape of her body. it says she will come back to him with the sun in her eyes, on her own, bedshaped (=her body is bedshaped from the long hours she spent crying on her bed), two legs of stone (she hasn't gone out or gotten out of bed for a really long time so it'll be hard for her to walk). and then he says "i don't think so" meaning he won't allow her to come back to him after she hurt him as much as she did. |

I love this band so much. Each song is filled with meaning unlike other crap music that just sing about nothing in particular and call it music. Anyways i've also wanted to know what exactly does: "Show me what it looks like outside your window at twilight" mean. Because this song is about goodbye and farewells and i don't see how that line really fits the song but then again maybe i don't understand what it means. |
