††† – †hholyghos† Lyrics 14 years ago
When I first heard this song the first verse immediately told me this song was about getting a girl pregnant. Now that I know all the lyrics, I'll interpret the song from that stand point:

"Here on this stainless table
I come inside you and haunt your dreams
Baby I don't mind, you can fake it
But I don't mind, come away with me."

This verse obviously is about impregnating a woman who doesn't want a child or at least his.

"We'll drink from the waves and feel our souls,
Fall asleep on the graves and seal our souls.
Get drunk on the waves, reveal our souls
Fall asleep on the graves and seal our souls"

This part to me implies a sacrifice the woman is making for her mistake. She marries the man who impregnated her and shares a miserable life with him for the sake of her their child.

"You make a godly servant
Protect your bible between your knees
Baby I wont mind, let me play with it
I don't mind, run away with it."

This verse to me implies that the woman was a virgin who got taken advantage of by the man who impregnated her.

"I know when the angel calls you
You'll cross your fingers then fall asleep
Baby i don't mind if you play with me
i don't mind, come away with me"

This could either mean she's hoping the man she's with will die or that she'll die and get away from her mistake. The Man that got her pregnant also senses this and knows she hates him but he doesn't mind because he knows he has her.

So that's the song to me. Best song on the EP by far.

For The Fallen Dreams – Resurface The End Lyrics 14 years ago
So I have a crush on a girl that's married and this song reminds me of her alot. What that in mind, here's my interpretation of the song:

"Believe in me for goodness sake, for goodness sake.
"Believe in me for goodness sake, for goodness sake.
The trust that you take, the trust that you ache.
The love that you hate holding fear as you fate."

This passage, to me, is trying to get noticed by a woman he thinks likes him. He hates the feeling of love, especially in this case because it is unrequited.

"The movement you make, the lies that you fake...
The love that you hate. The love that you hate."

This part he is talking about the woman who is teasing him in a way, but he recognizes that it's all lies. She doesn't really like him.

"Believe. Believe is seeing, just shut your eyes.
Repeat. Nothing comes easy."

He still wants to believe that someday he'll be with her.

"Remembering that look in your eyes, I swear I saw you.
I swear I saw you.
With my back against the wall."

He's having a flashback here to when he thought this woman liked him because of the sings she gave him. He was in a vulnerable position then and never pursued anything with her.

"I wish I knew you from before, from before.
From before.
With my back against the wall,
With my back against the wall,
With my back against the wall,
With my back against the wall,
I wish I knew you from before, let's make no mistake.
I wish I knew you from before."

To me, this can be interpreted two ways. He wishes he knew her from before because then he would have been the one she was with. you can also look at it as a regret from not trying in the past when he had a chance.

"When you say those words mean forever.
Make no mistake, you make no mistakes.
Somehow I feel you truly meant never,
With chances I take you were my mistake."

Back in the present, he's trying to get with her but she is taken. He can see in her that she is content with her life and doesn't need him. She will never be with him.

"When you say forever, forever is too long.
When you say never, I believe you.
When you say forever, forever is too long.
When you say never, I believe you.
Believing is seeing"

He is still holding on to hope, but deep down knows she will never love him.

So that's it. There's my over-analysis of an awesome song.

Oceana – Reach For The Sky Lyrics 14 years ago
I'm not sure if this band is a Christian band and i can see how their lyrics can be interpreted in a religious song, but I don't think it is about religion.

Before I even read the lyrics understand everything that was being said, this song invoked a feeling of loss and adversity then a feeling of acceptance and solace. When I first heard this song, I was going through a breakup and a death of a best friend. I didn't want to let either of them go, but, after grieving, I knew it was time to move on with life and in order to do this I had to remember all the good times we had and just let go.

When I was able to do this, I felt more alive in my life than ever before.

When I finally got around to reading the lyrics, I discovered that the feeling this song gave me wasn't far off from what the lyrics describe.
