to me this song means that for those who are patient and enduring, there is something waiting for them in return. Such as, in the music video, there is a young woman who loves playing the violin. She has an abusive father (to which words do not describe how unjust that is) but she endures and waits, in return she is given the opportunity to play for composers. Something that she loves, or something she is talented at. same for christians, we wait for something entirely better than this life. |

when I first really listened to this song, the first thought that came to mind was that Job did not question God. Later come to find out that, he (job) in fact did. (Job 9). But there is an article about a song from their last album called start again. That song is about a friend who went through a divorce. Anyone who has tasted that beast knows how much that hurts, whether they are willing to admit it or not. This song is about everything that everyone has said. You say its about Revelation 6:10. They say its about Psalms. David clearly questioned God in Psalms 22. I personally believe that the writer was struggling with something, maybe something like what happened such as in the song start again, and he started questioning God Himself. Because it is known that they write about things that have happened to them in their past and things that are currently happening to them. It is why I love this band. |
