| Being Buddhist myself, i believe "existence is suffering" is one of the most powerful sentence to come to one's ears. JIPOD was very correct on the name of the song. Samsara is the everlasting cycle of being reborn, otherwise the lyric's in itself are pretty straight forward. Existence is suffering. No matter what realm you are reborn into, you still suffer. suffering is caused by greed/attachment/desire (think of it like Christianity's 7 deadly sins). The point of Buddhism is to end suffering by eliminating desires, greed, etc; thus breaking out of Samsara, attaining enlightenment, and achieving Nirvana(the state of no suffering). Sorry if it seems like I'm preaching, but this is the (basic) meaning of the song, gotta love Parkway Drive :) | |
