Actually emo is short for emotive hardcore, not emotional hardcore. I mean yeah, emotive is basically a way to describe something concerning or evoking/creating emotion, buuut not to be a grammar nazi or anything, but emotional is moreso for specific items or events. So yeah ._. And radiohead99, music is definitely classifiable. Genres cross, yes, but you can't tell me that there isn't a clear difference between NaS(rap) and Coheed and Cambria(progressive rock) or Animals As Leaders(progressive metal) and Radiohead(...you know the genre, don't play that game XD). Music was once literature, and just as there are different types of literature there are different types of music. To pigeonhole oneself into being into only one genre, however, is narrow minded and ridiculous. |

The point of the song is that we are so desensitized as a society that we will do something THAT fucked just to feel anything. It's as simple as that man. To be honest, stupid interpretations like yours and the OP's are exactly why Tool doesn't put their lyrics in their album booklets. |
