slomifier, being the artists they are, I don't think they're literally painting atheists in such a picture, if you know what I mean. I think the emphasis of those lines are how from a religious viewpoint atheism seems like the easy and fun way out and "that's where [he] want[s] to be" until he realizes that it isn't "better it's just more of the same" |

To everyone that thinks this is about school, I have a little twist for you. Look closely at the lyrics: Well we got no class And we got no principles And we got no innocence We can't even think of a word that rhymes.... Okay that stanza is key. I think principles is purposely spelled as is because I think this song refers to losing your virginity. Think about that: "We got no innocence" Well we got no choice All the girls and boys Makin all that noise 'Cause they found new toys "Making all that noise" and "found new toys" might also be sexual references. Who knows, perhaps it is about school, but that would be an interesting twist on things: think about it. |
