for me this song its about the same of burden, hex omega and coil, its about the suicide of an mikael's ex girlfriend, in watershed is very clear and mikael alredy has confirm this.... but here is more difficult but i get this idea from the lines : "I can't see your face And I can't breathe your air So I wonder why I get cold inside When I hear your name" they lived on separated places when mikael hear about the death of this women(ex), for me this is how he felt when he heard about her dead "When we meet eye to eye I will ask how and why" maybe he have a hope to see her in heaven...i know mikael is atheist but i dont know.... this sounds like he askin to her the reasons of the suicide... "Into the fire of our youth comes the devil again" they where a couple when they was young,, at 18, 19... for what i heard say to mikael on interviews.... "Saw you standing nigh In the corner Told me that you had died And I would die when my heart was empty Become a ghost in perpetual void And neglect all reasons why" this lines are very very personals... i dont know what is mikael refering to with this.. but surely its somethig very personal... i imagine some dream... he dreaming with her and she told he this.... awesome song! love it.. i think this song it's about apocalypse ,, thats why come out on 21 may 2011.. the day that God would subsequently completely destroy the Earth and the universe five months later. imagine god saying: "Do I end this all for the world to see." and the devil: "Do I take everybody else down, Everybody else down with me." and i think on a ocean of fire with the phrase: "Perpetually were igniting in waves. Incessantly were sinking in flames." TRIVIUM 4 EVER!! |
