I think the singer is looking for real love in this song, and comparing what he is looking for (someone to protect and really care for) to what it seems everyone else is looking for (someone to poor drinks into and take advantage of). I sympathize. |

Vidal's quote was referring to "I Don't Want Love", ha ha. Also, the title is "Parentheses". I like this song very much though, The Antlers have masterfully created an extremely eerie atmosphere here. |
