That's impossible, Gerard Way is afraid of needles so he has no piercings or tattoos. He said this in the making of 'Helena' vids. Although it is possible Lyn-Z has the tattoo. :) But I do agree, this song is both Lyrically and Musically amazing. It is somthing I take very personally, as it reminds me of my best friend who has now moved away for Uni. I love her <3 |

Does it really have to be between lovers? I feel this way about my best friend who is dealing with a sever case of depression and anxiety. I sent this song to her to tell her how much I love her and will always be beside her. It is a beautiful song about someone who is willing to stand next to someone special to them through a rough patch, whether is be a family member, friend or a lover. |

To me this song seems to be comparing real life to the horrors of Sleep Paralysis, which is probably what Frank was experiencing at night in the hotels. When in sleep paralysis you experience horrible things because your body begins to get scared and starts to make things appear in front of you while you are awake that should be in your dreams. Sometimes it can feel like you are dying because it is painful at times and other times you see horrible and disturbing things. Sometimes when you hear a loud noise or somebody moves your body you can wake up from sleep paralysis, thats what I picture the WAKE UP at the end being. I dunno if I am right but that's what it seems like to me. |

Alright so after listening and re reading the lyrics I reckon its about all the horrible things humans have done to each other (Racism, War, Hatred and Conquering) and no matter how evolved we become we are still the same. So in the end we are just the same as what we were before (The ending is just the beginning repeated) The lyrics go through different people, we are all the same (I am exactly like you, and you are just like me)But then the line comes saying we are the start of something more saying that we can be more than what we were before but in the end we always revert back to our old selves our old ways. So ultimately I think the message they are trying to get across is that we should try and see the similarities in humans and not the differences but ultimately the ending is just the same as the beginning and as much as we push away everything that was before it always comes back to bite us on the ass. |

I wouldnt go as far as saying this is strictly about his dad but I think it really is about how he has let down people, which yes would include his dad. But this could be a range of people such as ex band members (Brent, Ryan, Jon), Maybe Pete (DecayDance) and FueledByRamen (he could feel that the band breaking up was caused by himself and feels that he has disappointed them) but maybe more importantly the fans (I think its more about the fans than anything) I set my expectations high So nothing ever comes out right Could be him thinking about his big expectations for the band in its infant stage (just signing, first album, fists tour and all that jazz) and he feels that it all gone wrong now that two members are gone. I need a little sympathy To sore my insecurities He did get a whole lot of sympathy and shit from people after Jon and Ryan left, I think this part is just saying that he wanted all the sympathy he could get to hide all the insecurities he had. Thats all I got for now :) |

This could be bout Ryan (and Jon to an extent), how Brendon felt after they left. Why did you bring me in If you knew what you'd become -Talkin about how the brought Bren in but it must have been obvious that they were two different styles that would clash one day. I had a rosy dream You gave up on you And I gave up on me Well love came along and said, �Leave them be.� -Life before the break would have been great for them, what they wanted but they all realised it wasnt right and gave up on themselves and each other. When Ryan and Jon left 'Love' (and Im all for Rydon but im taking this as brotherly love)told him that this is their choice and he cant change it. The rest just all fits in...and I cant be bothered to copy and paste it all :) |
