Grizzly Bear – Little Brother Lyrics 14 years ago
Interesting ideas. I see this song as being more literal than figurative. To me I think it's a narrative of two siblings sharing a bed at a hotel. The older brother dreams of his little brother, a solemn, quiet kid, as being this war hero. He then wakes up realizing his little brother has rolled over on top of him. He tells his little brother to go back to his side of the bed, sleepily adding "I'll go back to the place where you get started" meaning he'll go back to sleep and dream the same dream. The end of the song emphasizes how tired the older brother is.

Grizzly Bear – Lullabye Lyrics 14 years ago
I imagine two friends sitting by the pool late at night, drinking and slipping into intoxication. The narrator has trouble sleeping at night do to the worries of everyday life- in my perspective as a college student, I imagine him worrying about his future, his job, rent and utility bills. As they keep drinking, the narrator starts feeling better about life and his future as he says "chin up, cheer up." The "love" of an another kind refers to his realization and understanding- a personal epiphany and feeling that his friend will never know.
