It's fairly clear whats its about. A dream girl, and girl that he loves and yet cannot get, and cant get her of his mind and is imagining her EVERYWHERE! "i though i saw you in the battleship, it was only a look alike She was nothing but a vision trick under the warning light She was close, close enough to be your ghost" and this girl in the pub which is called the battleship, he ends up pulling as she looks like the girl he desires, and ask her if he can call her, her name and obv she is going to say no! This happens throughout the song, pub called, "rusty hook" and so on. The end however, he meets a hooker "you know this as when he asks to call her her name she replys, shes really not suppose to and then goes on to say you can call me anything you want" and therefore this hooker is the closest thing to his dream girl, being described as her sister! |
