I read somewhere it is about Kelly's family... It's kind of obvius if you watch the video; a depressive mother, a broken home, a lonely and traumatich childhood. With that experiences, now she's afraid to open up and trust people, because that would mean she can get hurt and abandoned, just like when she was a child. And she is ashamed, because she realizes her life is shallow and empty. It's a very sad song |

I like this song very much. Leah Michele's voice is definitely amazing. I think we all have times when we feel that no matter what you do, nothing goes right, you try to do things in the best way but you end up hurting the ones you love I think is also a song about redemption, about the sincere intention to get things right when you know you made a mistake |
