Without being rude, what are you people smoking when you heard the song? This is CD is around the time his Mother passed away, she was church going, pry every day, God is there for me kind of lady. Maynard was pissed, how could his Mother (as we all think, the smartest greatest lady in the world) could give all her faith in this God that took her down and put her in a wheel chair and suffer for 10,000 days, she didn't lose her faith. This CD is how we put so much faith in a "man" we cant see, places us in harms way and just sit on his high thrown looking down on us, picking & choosing who pass his gates. As for the song Rosetta Stoned, come on people! L. Ron Hubbard?! Hello? Hasn't anyone heard of Church of Scientology? Do we know whom started the Church of Scientology? Why yes it was, L. Like you posted, it could be about any kind of relationship love/family/friends/work/crap boss and if its a bad deal to have that person/work in your life make it go away. Don't sit there and dream about how it would/could be if that issue was gone. The "oh,no's" could be what we think, like I'm not going to sit around thinking about how I miss/hate you, Oh no I have better things to do. There are lot of ideas what this song could mean, for all we know it could be about someone over coming drug or alcoholism. Its a great song. |
