When I listen to this song, it sounds like a description of the emotion that comes with feeling present. You feel this certain happiness. As some have previously argued that it is about sex because you don't care a fuck about anything going on in the world, that is the way that feeling present can feel. It is different though because it is a kind of unexplainable gratefullness just for being. As it expands, you start to realize love and it helps you learn forgiveness. You may feel like someone has done something like your parents may have raised you terribly and now you're so fucked up that you just want somewhere to turn for change and you think all the time about how if you weren't raised that way your life wouldn't suck so much. But since "pain is an illusion" you're just thankful for being brought into the world. You could be born to a hooker who got killed by her pimp and you would still be able to see a good side in that killer and although you never forget and may not talk to him, you can forgive him. Basically you can see your irrational thoughts and actions and you wash them in a clean, clear river and you see it for what it really is, enabling you to use it to its greatest potential. |
