This song is about a wonderful, dingy, little dive bar that existed for about 47 years in the East Village, on St. Marks near 1st ave. Sadly, the Holiday Cocktail Lounge closed in January 2012. It was a storied place, where I bet no small number of would-be and had-been punks got plastered over the years. |
