i think that chester wrote this song when he was drug-addicted and he felt many wierd things, like somethings crawling in his skin. but the music video is about a girl who is abused by her father and she has an earring as chester has. cause that's a relation. chester was abused too as a child:( |

i heard that mike shinoda was making this song for 6 years.
it's about drugs and a friend of him who was drug-addicted, but it's not chester.
i read somewhere else that chester bennington (the singer of linkin park who was drug addicted in the past) couldn't sing the song for a year (2003)cause it was emotional for him. |

in my opinion burning in the skies is a song for someone who made many mistakes in his past and now he asks for apology. but the video is related to the whole a thousand suns theme which is nuclear wars etc. and the video is based on the lyric "the blood of innocence burning in the skies" |

in my point of view this song is about a woman (first verge) and a man (second verge) who are addicted to drugs. they try to hide it but they're suffering. and the carousel is drugs (it's difficult to stop it. |
