This song always reminds me of an old lover I had. We met back in 2009. We were in love with each other and we would discuss the problems we had. It all ended 2 years later in 2011 when her friends whom that didn't like me much decided that we shouldn't be together and somehow ended our relationship. I get reminded of her so much when I hear this song. Especially the part where it goes
"Oh if my voice could reach back through the past
I'd whisper in your ear,
"Oh darling I wish you were here""
If only my voice could transcend time. :( |

This song I am certain has something to do with environmentalism. The lyrics mention peak oil, the ozone layer hole, and global warming. Yet it also has this nice beat to it, and some other subjects in it so it is debatable what this song is about. It is interesting. |

This song is very important to me since I can relate a bit. I was bullied and beaten up a lot when I was young, and this girl which I still consider my true love for almost 2 years went with another guy, and betrayed me loving other people instead so yes this song describes me, and guess what someday I will rise from those ashes as a skyscraper.
