Great job on these lyrics. I hear "Rarely does chi factor into" for the first line.
I think some cannibal tribes look for people with higher spirit to eat, supposedly to give them more power. This guy in the song focuses more on body size. |

Ive been going over lyrics and song titles on this album. Finding little treasures on the album cover like Mr Jung in a session with a two-headed man. Could be a split personality situation ("this man crawls into my skin"). |

I def agree with the Faust angle. Interestingly, on the album cover there is a fat boxer staring in the mirror in one of the rooms. This guy looks just like Butterbean, a popular if gimmicky boxer from the 90s. |

My literal interpretation of the song goes like this -
The first half is about a female "jack the ripper", hence the name jackie. She poses as a hooker and cuts out mens hearts (drums). She sees her profile on the news and tries to disguise herself as a man.
The second half is about a man who hears about jackie and wants to be her victim. He cannot for one reason or another bring himself to commit suicide. He has an infatuation with this woman and sees her as a deliverer. So he goes out to the same streets at night hoping she finds him. In the end he is frustrated because she has already stopped the killings. |
