In my opinion the song is about finally growing up; Finally opening his eye up to the real world. "You are a faker (admit it) You are a fraud (admit it) Yeah, you're living a lie (yeah) living a lie (yeah) you're life is living a lie " He's speaking about people and their cliques, describing basically the stuggles people put themselves through in life just to reach an internal happiness. Max Bemis (singer) is talking about how he's overcome wanting to belong to fake or toxic people, and how he's completely fine and better off looking past ignorant unfulfilled people. "I'm proud of my life and the things that I have done Proud of myself and the loner I've become You're free to whine, it will not get you far I do just fine, my car and my guitar.." That's just my interpretation. |
