Definitely agree the whole thing is about incestuous fantasies, and the guild and frusteration they bring him. Surprised I've seen a bit of confusion in the chorus... This ain't no holiday But it always turns out this way Here I am, with my hand Here he's saying, "this is no rare/special occaision, he always resorts to this-masturbating" and his increasing volume and stress just seem to convey the narrator's guilt, shame, and inability to control himself-and the angst it brings him-very well. idk how people interpret my hand with getting beaten, idk what they think happens during abuse. |

Huh. I didn't take it as his mother, but a couple."Your boy" just meaning boyfriend/ significant other. "All cleaned out" is a common expression when somebody is out of a drug, in this case alcohol, or cleaned out as in an alcoholic detoxing, which it seems like the woman is going through. "You toss the empty beer,"-Giving it up "But all you say is you don't want anyone around Come not right now"-People feel like shit, are cranky, etc. when withdrawing/detoxing "There ain't nothing to drink You don't want to think about it" I agree that the man definitely could be a controlling other, but also thought that his drinking might also be a source of the woman's depression, b/c of her efforts to desist. And I think either front or foot make sense, Front as in putting up and aeiouSumtimesy explained foot. |
