This is the kind of song that so many people can relate to, just vague enough, but still holds the message in a very powerful way, the girl was in a bad relationship, she got hurt, and now it's stuck with her. For me, I relate this to a relationship where the guy took advantage of her, made her feel special, only to leave her. She now is frequently reminded of him and her mistakes, and she feels guilty "Did I make it that easy to walk right in and out of my life" She can't believe how hurt she is, how haunted she is by his memory, and she thinks that he's not hurt at all "So you're gone and I'm haunted, but I bet you are just fine" This is a beautiful song |
