The thoughts of a dying atheist on his way to heaven
"And if I belong I'll be longer than expected." Meaning if he's able to enter, he'll stay, perhaps.
"And if I'm wrong, the mighty and strong will be rejected."
If his beliefs are wrong, and there is a god, and the bible is is his word, then maybe it refers to the meek shall inherit the earth. Just the impression I get when I listen to this song, a soul floating slowly across the sky, mentioning what he sees along the way. |

I love the moving mountains part. Great metaphore for moving on and how hard it is to actually try and forget someone you were deeply involved with. |

I had a similar thought but rather it was a dream rather than heaven, the outro almost ruins the whole thing, when I first heard this song the ending came as a bit of a surprise, but I figured it was like being stirred from a happy dream just to wake up alone or something. Short lived but beautiful. |

the lyrics kinda make me think of a guy trying to help a girl he loves or has a crush on out of an abusive relationship, and having no luck with it. chilling song, though. it's amazingly sad and beautiful. |
