| Though Disturbed is pretty.....unchristian (lol) I don't think they'd make such an evil song lol or at least mean to. I think the song has a more vampiric meaning :D | |

First of all don't hound me, I just got a vampiric feeling from this song. Like as a musci video I'd see someone in a hospital dying of some fatal afflicting and the "vampire" standing behind curtains. "Although I know you�re not begging" He possibly knows the person in the bed, but the person doesn't realize what he is. "Still as the thoughts running through your mind" The person in the bed is in a coma? Or asleep? "I will devour you" As in Consume, possibly the consumption of blood. "Give me a reason/ I can't stay my hand" He's trying to reason with himself, but realizes he can't help himself. Its like he's in love with the person on the bed. "Empower you, For all eternity" Make them into a vampire (i.e. Vampires are immortal) "It seems to ease my mind To know that you�ve brought Meaning to my life" He feels like he's put on this earth to save the person in the bed. "Although I see you�re not running, Still are the thoughts running though my mind" The person now knows what he is but is unafraid. (Alt. explanation he possibly already turned her) "Dead to love" Even though he's expressed his feelings to the person they reject him. "Show me the reason to make you mine" His mind is pretty much saying "Happy now?" "Run where the smallest ray of light will never find you Run where you will not need to shield your eyes Run away from all the soulless, heartless fiends who hound you Run away and let your memories go blind when I" Okay now I can see him pinned to a cross and being burned watching her run away in the distance and calling this to her. He cautions her against the sun and to hide from those who pursue her. And in the end he's telling her to forget about him and move on. |
