There are some small lyric errors, it should be "he fell for it and everyone knows" in both the chorus lines. This could be about a man who likes asian women, but it may also be about a woman who baitted US soldiers and upon sleeping with them either cuts, bites, or sliced with an "internal" razor blade as some claim happened. All of these fit the idea that he fell for it, the effects are severe and lasting so everyone knows, and he discovered this woman most likely working or bathing "in feild and stream", after catching his first "whiff" ie, laying his first prostitute.

This song is clearly about women who put on a cutsie act, and act (or are0 stupid and think men like it. Devo isn't interested in this. They don't like the walk, talk, or subbstance of a "baby talkin'" bitch. and they could do without for days...why only days? well Devo is doomed to repeat as are all humans, and they need conjugal visits.

I don't know what inspired this song, so its possible to put several interpritations on it. You could imagine that baby doll is an actual baby who grows up resenting her father although he tried to raise her right. my personal bet is that its about a woman who feels she is to good for the man who wants to be with her. or you could assume that baby doll is a trandgender call girl if you wanted too.

More classic devo it's "repeat untill it fails" mentality. The idea that humans are doomed to eat sleep have sex and deficate untill they die. leaving behind a generation that does the same thing. The theme of growing old and dying is stronger here, where as other songs focus more on the young to middle aged person.

This song is centered on the theme "ignorance is bliss". There are many popular media depictions of such sentiments including an episode of House M.D. where an extremely intelligent man wants to be stupid because dealing with the populus of lesser intelect beings is so frustrating. Devo postulates that instead they are normal men and the populus is in fact certifiably severely mentally handicapped with an IQ score under 40. Wishing they could be blissfully ignorant would make living in this world ("Where i'm from the dumbber the better") far less stressfull.
