Ozzy Osbourne – Let Me Hear You Scream Lyrics 2 years ago
This song is about pushing on towards a goal in the face of the hurdles and setbacks life throws up along the way, and not giving up on yourself.

The general idea is "Buck up, son. Nobody said this was going to be easy. But you can do it!"

The refrain is about motivating the listener to not stop, to keep going, to dig deep, to act like you want it! If you're going to go for a goal, go for it with everything you've got. If you're going to go down, go down giving it everything you've got.

The narrator in the lyrics alternates. In some lines, we hear the voice of "life." The discouraging voice, throwing roadblocks and set backs in your path. As you're trying to achieve a goal, each of these roadblocks is an opportunity to quit. To give up.

Examples of these lines:

"I'll pull you up and put you right back in your place,
I'll take you down and wipe that smile right off your face,
I'll watch you break, you're mine to take"

Then the lyrics flip to the voice of a motivating force:

"Get ready with the war cry. Let me hear you scream like you want it!"

All in all, I find this song motivating when I'm starting to feel knocked down. It reminds me that achieving a worthy goal isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. You will get punched, you will get bruised, you will get your ass kicked. You will get knocked down. When that happens, dig down, get up, and keep walking forward.

If you keep walking forward, nothing can stop you.

Train – Drops of Jupiter Lyrics 14 years ago
This song has no clear, explicit meaning from the lyrics. I'm thinking that they may have stripped all of the explicit, direct meaning out of the lyrics intentionally, so that anyone could "relate" to it in their own way, hence broadening the commercial appeal.

That being said, we do know its about a guy who liked a girl, and that girl went on a trip of some sort. Here are my two possible interpretations:

1) It's about a guy who loved a girl, and then the girl moved to LA/Hollywood to become a model, actress, star, etc.

Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar

2) It's about a girl who got into drugs, possibly LSD or mushrooms. It wasn't heroin or cocaine, because the lyrics aren't really dark. The "space" references sound to me like a cool LSD trip, and she seems to have a somewhat positive reaction to the experience.
