alright... ive just read through every one of these comments and I have to get a few things off my chest... First of like 80% of you haven't got the slightest inclination of what the phrase "GOOD RIDDANCE" means... it is basically a controlled way to say fuck you you son of a bitch get out of here and dont ever come back! All of you who keep saying it is a happy song or about reflecting on the good times of life need to actually look up the name of a song before you try to interpret it. Now I wont be ignorant and go as far as to say I know for a fact who he was saying that too when he wrote the song becuase I have never heard or seen any hard evidence myself to explain why he was so upset but what I want you to understand is it is not a happy song... It is very sarcastic and hateful. Dont let the melody fool you. |

To speak ill of, in any way, a song that depicts a parent's love for their child is to speak ill of life itself. Nerd Im very sorry for the obviously painful life you have had to lead without enough love to fill your heart. This world needs more songs like this to give poor misguided people like yourself a chance to feel something. It is unfortunate that you are so sheilded against feeling and emotion because you were never shown love that you have to attempt to express yourself by trying to put down others because you do not know any better. Unfortunately the world must have people like you to show the rest of us just how lucky we are. This is an amazing song with lyrics that can be incredibly powerful if understood. |
