This is one of my fave NY songs. My interpretation is more from my own life than from what I think Neil's reasoning behind it was: to me it comes out of loneliness and a need to have someone close to you in any capacity, and it seems spoken from a man who just doesn't know how to express how he feels about the woman. That's what it means to me, I suppose. |
