I think it's about religion and the narrator's battle with it. "I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends. They're in my head." He's happy, 'cause he's found religion and friends (angels, god), but he thinks/knows that they're only in his head. "Sunday morning's everyday for all I care, I'm not scared." He's found religion, there's no need to worry about the afterlife and such anymore. "Light my candles, in a daze 'cause I've found god" He goes through the ceremonies and practices without question, until later in the song. "...not gonna crack." He feels all these emotions and has all these desires, but can't/won't follow them because religion makes him happy and he has friends from it. Like it--can't have gluttony or desire Miss you--adultery Love you--^^ Killed you--can't kill And that's what I think. |
