| This is perfect, What you said makes so much sense in relation to the song. | |
| Keith Caputo – Got Monsters (I No Longer Exist) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| The song, as shown in the music video is about Keith/Mina's struggles with being a trans* woman. Seriously watch it; it's as beautiful and touching as the song. | |

| An Horse – Camp Out Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think that the singer is directing this song at someone that wants to have a relationship with them ("camp out"); whereas the singer just want to have casual sex without a relationship ("screw/fuck around in the dark"). It's about the same situation (getting together) while showing that the intentions are different as they are both going to take it differently due to what either wants. | |

| Uh Huh Her – Debris Lyrics | 14 years ago |

It sounds like it's about masturbation. She's thinking about this other person, and almost challenging them to make her stop ("hand inside my top, tell me not to stop"). Maybe she can't have them, maybe they can't be together at that point in time (long-distance etc.); so she listens to the other person's voice and, uh, 'takes care of her biological urges'. Just the fact that the song has an aggressive, challenging edge and uses lines like "fingers falling hard" makes me think it is about masturbation. Either that, or it's about aggressive, passionate sex with someone, where you know you shouldn't, but all you really want is their body beneath you. Lyrabird had a good interpretation about that. ^^ |

| Uh Huh Her – Same High Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
As your shadow falls, you've come to keep me warm Oh I cannot speak, the silence turns me on Oh my eyes will close, I fail to think I'm wrong But the weakest hearts are swallowed in a trance We're on the same high It's in stereo, it's the same soul We're on the same high So we'll carry on, it's the same song We're on the same high We're on common ground, it's the same sound We're on the same high It'll carry on, it's the same song And this sweet reward dominates the pain As each breath we take suffers just the same Lost inside a void, an audience of one And all along we knew, we feel the same desire It took so long to see Who'd of thought So long to see We're on the same high We're on the same high It's in stereo, it's the same soul We're on the same high So we'll carry on, it's the same song We're on the same high We're on common ground, it's the same sound We're on the same high It'll carry on, it's the same song |

I think that the girl that this song is about is in an unhealthy relationship (whether it be anything from abusive, to he's just not "the one" and doesn't understand her) but for whatever reason (expectations, fear of change etc.) she is still with this guy. However, the singer has feelings for this girl and this girl seems to have feelings for her back, and although it makes sense for them to be in a relationship instead, they're not. So although this girl is always around and they even have 'moments' together ("I look in your eyes, and they're not cold"), ultimately they are not a couple, and although the singer realises that it is probably not the best for her to spend time with this girl, she decides that it's worth it and she will stand by her (or rather 'stay with' her). |

| Not a bad interpretation, just don't assume that it is a 'him'... | |
| Emma Louise – Al's Song Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
After the final chorus, there is a verse that sounds like the following: 'This old love Is used, is used This old love is used This old love Is used, is used This old love is used' Love her music, and this song is one of my favourites. I love the build up at the end of the final chorus that leads into the verse. She just sounds so passionate! When I saw her live, she said this song was about a friend of hers that was in an unhealthy relationship. |

After 'My love is wasted, sorry for this I never meant to be, hurting ourselves, hurting ourselves'; the correct lyrics are: 'And I'm complicated, you won't get me I have trouble understanding myself, understanding myself' |
