Well, it has to be that the girl already has someone else though, because in the song, Jesse states, "I won't sit around, I can't let him win now". Him is the guy that's causing Jesse/or the male protagonist of the song to be unable to confess his undying love for the girl, therefore, it's this "him" that's in the way of the both of them. |

Okay, for all you guys who think this song is amazing because it's very meaningful or sweet or whatever, reread the lyrics again. This song isn't sweet at all. The guy doesn't love this girl. "I wanna taste you one more time again (Just one more time)". Taste is one of the 5 senses of the body. What do we use to taste objects? Our hands? Nope. Our ears? Nope. Our eyes? Nope. Our nose? Nope. It's our mouth. We use our mouth to taste things. So, when he says, I wanna taste you one more time again (kissing, sex, something like that), he's lusting for her. Furthermore, this guy is just selfish. "In my daydreams, in my sleep, infatuation turning into disease" - Here, he states that he has "infatuation" for her. NOT LOVE. And later in the song, he dares to ask for "her LOVE" when he himself doesn't even love her? This guy is shallow and selfish. At first glance, this song is a really sweet song, but if you read into the lyrics, it's not a sweet song at all. He may feel something for the girl, but the repetition of those lyrics just show that he craves her just about as much. A desire to be with someone and care for them and etc is different from a desire for their body. |
