"I'd change this song now if I could, in the slickness of your blood". Does anybody know what this line means? I like it but not quite sure how to interpret it.
Also, Stephan broke up with Charlize not the other way around. He knew he wasn't ready to commit to marriage so he broke up with her. He wasn't ready to give up the rock star life and hooking up with girls backstage and stuff like that...all of his songs seem to express regret and how he wishes he could go back when things were better. He realized he made a mistake breaking up with her and when she moved on to another guy it broke his heart and was too late. He even fedexed her two songs that he wrote. They were Persephone and Forget Myself. She sent them back to him immediately. |

It wasn't the fact that the relationship was in the public eye. Stephan just wasn't ready for marriage and didn't want to commit to it. |
