This song is not about love or anything, It's basically Linkin Park telling you about the industry, fans that hold on too tightly and telling them about what the band should sound like , also the producers Label Etc. So basically from "When I pretend" to "The very worst part of you is me" the band is pissing you off really, then Mike Shinoda hits back with " This isn't what I wanted to be,I never thought that what I said,Would have you running from me,LIKE THIS!" It explains mainstream music where labels hold artist into a mold, forcing them into making money rather than the quality of the music. |
