basically it is a struggle between his secular self and its relationship to Gods divine plan for him. "It's not what is I feel like I was promised" he feels mislead and left with scars reminding him of his pain and in this struggle he can see that it is beyond himself and is reaching out to be healed once again "This hurts, this leaves A lasting laceration I can't believe That this is what my faith was for" but ultimately he understands the correlation between his own pain and the pain jesus felt when he walked on this very earth as well that have remained through time "When I see you I see scars that are matching I know what I'm feeling You are feeling scars remaining through" or at least thats my perception.. dont hate me for it, its just an opinion- probably biased somehow, but arent we all? |
