| Green Day – Letterbomb Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Lets look at this song on a general scale, rather than it's correlation to the albums story line. I think we can all find closure knowing this song really defines the meaning of the acceptance of what is inevitable in our lives. I think this song preaches the idea that everything and every power in the midst of our society is merely pseudo, and has no definition or any say on what our lives mean on a profound scale. We're all going to die alone, and one small ending or one small closed door in this life is so obsolete in a universe so vast. We can do whatever we want with no consequences, and this song embodies that. Tl;dr? Fuck your problems, because nobody cares. |

| Breaking Benjamin – Firefly Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I feel like this song is obviously about love and what it does to us. It's about clinging onto somebody because they're everything, but in the end everything goes down the drain and it's like a slap in the face. Depressing song, but it really speaks to you. | |
| Tigers Jaw – I Saw the Wolf Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I like your interpretation Tiggers. Song really gives me the feeling its about a horrible situation for someone to be in in the worst of a relationship. Almost like they regret the end of it, or a scene where the victim feels hopeless and alone without of the consideration of anyone, especially the person whom he/she has feelings for. I can listen to this song for hours. |

| Atmosphere – Smart Went Crazy Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Guys, this song is about Slug and his assessment on the current rivalry between the mainstream and underground in music, and how he is EXTREMELY proud to be successful without having went mainstream. He's saying that the old mainstream rap scene was once an aspiration of MC's in the underground, but since recently, its turned to absolute dirt, and hes clearly showing that just because hes indie, doesn't mean he can't spit sick shit while making a living. | |
| Latterman – An Ode To Jon Contra, Part 2 Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This song is incredible, and really brings a tear to your eye when you connect the lyrics to your youth and the memories you have with old friends. A song about being persistent, and letting go and giving in, while at the same, cherishing the people you know, and the times you had and living life. |

| P.O.D. – Alive Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| The members of P.O.D are christian, so this song is based around seeking God, and confiding in him, no matter what others say. I feel, as someone who doesn't believe in a God, this song has helped me through hard times; not because I somehow 'see' a God when I'm feeling down, but because the song can also be interpreted as finding God in YOURSELF, and appreciating the life you've been given and the breath you take being considered a gift. It's an incredible song, and it came out right around 9/11, when I was very young, so the song really imposed me, and it made me think and appreciate my family and friends. | |
| Bad Religion – Atheist Peace Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Funny; like Atheism, all theistic followers have their own podium of humility. Just because one aspect of belief contains ignorant followers who only abide to its standpoint solely for the fact that they can appear more intelligent doesn't mean the theistic side isn't filled with illiterate vermins that can't apply their god-given brain to open-mindedness. | |
| Bad Religion – Skyscraper Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| It's a song mocking the story of babel. Basically, the most prominent lines in the song are "You thought that if you got caught, we'd all go away". Why this is holds such a strong meaning? It's almost like the story of babel actually MOCKS itself, in that they come up with suspicious solutions to their own stories (e.g. god changing the language, or when people die, god wanted you for something lol). Religious people are tools in a cult that mocks itself. Greg reiterates the same concept in most of his songs in this song, however, it seems hes getting more specific, showing the falsehood of the stories we hear. | |
| Bad Religion – Murder Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Seems to me that this song is about how religion screams at us to abide the laws they impose onto us, however, if you look at how far the world has come today (war, genocide, hate crimes, etc.), you will see that even though we deem ourselves as religious god-loving people who live in a beautiful bliss-like world, we do not realize we totally oppose our faith and its laws. | |
| Bad Religion – American Jesus Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
The song holds validity in interpreting the country we live in today, as not the land of the free, but the land of JESUS. The USA's media and society is so overriden by what we need to believe in, and where we will all go when we die. The song can be directly compared to Leaving Jesusland by NOFX, as they both hold the same meaning in defining our country as a land of God, when the land is supposed to be about freedom, but being as things have obviously changed for the worst, the United States of America is no more than a land of disunity, because the true citizens are the ones who believe in what THEY choose to (i.e. atheists, agnostics, naturalists, etc.); because we do not realize we're sheep in a herd slowly following the alpha sheep off of a cliff to our own inevitable deaths. THINK. FOR. YOURSELF. DO NOT LET THE LAND YOU LIVE IN DEFINE WHO YOU ARE. |

| Face to Face – Pastel Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song is the essence of teen angst, easily. | |
| Pulley – Stomach Aches Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Sounds like a song about becoming tired of trying to keep relationships alive. "Can I walk away with you?" And the chorus; they both give off this very bemused vibe about how he cares so much, but he knows he can't get things right, and he feels its never going to get better with this girl/guy. One of those negative songs that sadly rings so true in all of us =T. |

| Pulley – Mandarin Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Recently, a friend of mine died in a car accident, and this song some how reminds me of her. Although the song has a different meaning, it still makes me think. To interpret the song fairly, it reminds me of myself, or a person with hidden problems. Reminds me of a person who is so thankful to have the people he has in his life, and it makes me cherish my loved ones and friends more, especially when I link it to the girl I knew who recently died. It's a song of hope, and although it sounds "poppy" for a band like Pulley, I think its the epitome of teenage problems, and how the little things can motivate you to write a song as deep as this. |

| Tigers Jaw – I Saw Water Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
AMAZING song. Seems to me that it's about a guy who can't vent his emotions, and ends up crashing and hitting the floor. Seems as if he can't get things right; he's envious of his friends, and how they seem to enjoy themselves so much more than him. He's being ignored by someone he loves (either it was a break up, or the girl has no clue of how he feels). To sum it up, it's a depressing song. |

| Brand New – Am I Wrong? (Love Spit Love cover) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I think this song is about the self-doubt involved in questioning your own beliefs, and your own feelings. Maybe wondering if it was the luck of the game that caused something, or if you're just cheating yourself into thinking it. I feel its about how hard it is to overcome personal problems that people generally look at as being silly and juvenile (I.e cutting, anorexia, depression, suicide). Amazing song for anybody questioning themselves, and just wanting a shelter-- a place of reassurance, where its not only you in the rut. |
|
| Pulley – Blindfold Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song seems to be about a guy committing all of his rage that he is feeling from a break-up. Explaining how he fell for her, and how she ruined it. She fucked up, and now shes noticing where she went wrong. At the end, hes concluding it by telling her he loves her, but its over. | |
| Green Day – Going to Pasalacqua Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I'm almost positive this song is about being infatuated with a girl, and you wonder if she feels the same. You're thinking about your future, where you're going with your life, and if you will ever find a real strong relationship. He says "hand in hand we'll run away" which I think is faint sarcasm, because he knows it won't happen, so he clearly is thinking so outlandishly, that hes lost in her (what the hey!); letting go of his ambitions, and letting himself fall deeper in love with a girl who has little interest, if not none, in him. We all have this problem at some point in our lives it seems :( |
