this has been my favorite song since i was like 13 years old....when ever i need something to pick me up or im getting ready to go out and party i crank this jam and let it take me away....my take on this tune is that the couple was trying to make and extreme long distance relationship work...him being in the states and her being in london england...the begining of the song is that of him and her argueing over the phone because he knows that she is constantly partying and he keeps invisioning the worst ex. her cheating on him when she's drunk and out partying. So he ends up moving there to keep an eye on her so to say...and like he expected he hates it there which further makes their relationship worse...and then from there it just spirals into a horrible relationship. I stephen wrote this song about his relationship with catherine zeta jones but i could be wrong. |

when my girlfriend and i started dating, she was not a big 3eb fan. She along with most people had this assumption of "do do do...do da do do" when they thought of the band, but as we dated and she would listen to 3eb with me she is slowly but surely falling in love with them...she is absolutely in love with this song. we are in a very serious relationship and when we talk about our wedding in the future she tells me that she wants this song to play for our first dance...its our song. |

I beleive this song is about a poor or middle class boy who has caught the eye of a wealthy girl in their community...more than likely they dont hang around the same groups of people...she decides to give a chance and she realizes that she can be in love with someone of his class and enjoys the people that arent wealthy..but she still decides to go with the status quo and marries someone with money, which in turn makes her unhappy because she was truely happy with the first guy... |
