Jet invited her boyfriend to some kind of family social. She told them that she would be marrying soon. They were shocked to hear this because they thought she was saying that she was pregnant. Her father spoke up as bold as a sergeant major and told her that she was too young. He didn't approve of this boy. He told her that she was never allowed to see him again. They were in love so the world was a lonelier place than the moon while they were apart. This boy would go to Mass and pray to Mother Mary that Jet would always love him and that one day they would get married. So they eloped. They rode off with her on the back of his motorcycle and with her white laced wedding vale blowing in the wind. This may sound very disrespectful because Linda is no longer with us, the reason why the girl in this story was named Jet is because Paul use to have a dog named jet. This may be a rebuff to a very nasty joke going around at the time. What do you call a dog with wings? Linda McCartney. |

To be a bit more precise about "their funny faces"; when she told him that she would be marrying soon, they thought that she was saying in a round-about way that she was pregnant. Her father,"the Major" was worried that this boy(who he did not approve of)was leading his sweet,innocent,young daughter down the primrose path of carnal knowledge. -and he probably was. |

jet and this boy were probly at a family social of some kind when she told him that she would be marrying soon. They were all shocked when they heard her say this hence the "funny faces". Her father "as bold as a sergeant major" spoke up and made a show in front of them all and told her that she was too young.He told her that she is forbidden to ever see him again. Jet was broken hearted because she loved him and he found out that the world can be a lonelier place than the moon without her. He would go to Mass and pray to Mother Mary that Jet would always love him and that one day they could get married.Time passed and their love for each other never faded.They would meet(against her parents wishes) and planned to elope.Her hair and wedding vail blowing in the wind on the back of his motor bike.He believed her father was a "lady suffragette" because he did'nt care how unhappy she was. They wanted to hop on a jet-plane and fly away.Probly to the U.S. and live their own lives. After all, isn't that in a way what Paul and Linda did? |
