To me this is very morbid. It's a patient husband who's dealing with his wife's alcholism. Gently coaxing her along, because time in her life has kind of come to a stop even though time never stops. Although he is helping her, he's still got the underlying suggestion, "Oh they build buildings so tall these days." As if this is the solution to her problems. That's the way it seems to me at least. |

This song to me is very morbid. Like a patient husband who's dealing with something he know he can't beat, and yet he's telling her "Oh, they build buildings so tall these days." Almost as if it's a solution to her problems. Though like most, she hides her guilt and sadness behind work and fake smiles. Sad really. |

This song makes me so happy. I want to know who went to teddy bear heaven when she was eleven? Maybe someone she was close to that passed. If that's where you go when you die, it might not be such a bad thing =) |
