| I was just reading "Blindness" and came across that passage "Don't lose yourself; don't let yourself be lost" and I thought "That's Laura Veirs!" I looked up the lyrics on here, and discovered that there are WAY too many lyrics that are directly associated with that book to be a coincidence. I just didn't peg HER to be a Saramago fan. Go figure! I'm impressed - a very deep book to conquer, and while the mood of the song doesn't really capture the essence of Saramago, she does capture some great images associated with the novel for sure. | |
