@[adamguy17:7551] Sometime it is that literal, especially in this case where the war interpretation fits in with the rest of the album's themes. This album *is* a concept album about nuclear war after all. If anything, claiming it's just about a failing relationship is worse when taken in context of everything else. |

The entire album is about nuclear war and all its implications and ramifications. Therefore, this song is about humanity as a whole "waiting for the end" of the world to come after the nuclear war started in around "Burning in the Skies." |
