"Lay my bones at the feet of the ministry I need the guilt and the company I need the chance to be judged and then long forgotten Lately I just can't shake it I count the days and seconds and minutes Hours and hours of subtle shards of glass in the skin" hate to be this guy people, but i, for one, have read all the twilight books and have seen most the movies. And if apparently this song is about Twilight like Chris, he could be reffering to the second twilight book (new moon) where edward lays himself at the mercy of the voltari (vampire order/ "Ministry") and he feels "guilt" for leaving bella even if it was the right thing to do in his mind "Long forgotten" could be insinuating how edward goes to the "Ministry" to be killed cause he feels to guilty. "hours and hours of subtle shards of glass in the skin" could be refferring to the constant neverending pain he feels when he's not with bella the song goes on to mention things bout "bites" and other twilightish characteristics, but just my thought on it |

| I believe this song to describe a secret relationship,they love eachother but for some reason no one is aloud to know. I believe the reasons could be, a romeo and juliet theme where the families don't like eachother so they just can't be together. Whatever the reason, this is an epic ballad of "love knows no bounds" and tells the story of 2 people loving eachother so much, that they deal with hiding their romance, and being together in secret only. Beautiful song :), love DC | |

| I see this song as meaning he wants to feel what he once felt before, a girl came along and made his mind think only for her, and only have feelings for her, so "he's going through the motions" and acting how he did before meeting her to attempt to find the feelings he once felt, and be the person he used to be. "since i ran my hands over you, nothing else will ever do" demonstrates how since she entered his life, nothing will be able to replace her in his heart, even the things he used to love. | |
