I think the meaning is about emotions/relationships. Water is a common symbol for emotion. I think he sings about being afraid of committing to something, maybe something like a relationship. He warns the others but they igonore. He has been there, "lost himself in his emotions" and he is afraid of letting it happen again. He wants to be strong so that it doesnt happen again. Maybe a bit too much interpretation form my side, but Im curious what you guys think |
