| The Goo Goo Dolls – Come to Me Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I'm a huge GGD's fan and this is my new favorite by them. I love how he's fully encompassed in love for the other person and fully committed without the slightest hesitation. It gives the whole story from beginning to forever of their relationship. I love it. It makes me happy thinking about my own relationship and our future together. | |

From personal experience, I think this song is about someone in a relationship that carries something like an anxiety/depression disorder. The first verse: "This is the first (thing I remember) Now it's the last (thing left on my mind) Afraid of the dark (do you hear me whisper) An empty heart (replaced with paranoia) Where do we go (life's temporary) After we're gone (like new years resolutions) Why is this hard (do you recognize me) I know I'm wrong (but I can't help believing)" is how their mind jumps around or one things leads to another thing rapidly. Their mind is racing. "It's the last thing on my mind" could mean they stay awake late at night and can't sleep because of their thoughts. "I'm so lost I'm barely here I wish I could explain myself But words escape me It's too late To save me You're too late You're too late" You don't know what's wrong with your mind, you just become completely overwhelmed with everything. And then the depression hits. You just lay there, a prisoner in your own mind. You don't care to talk to anyone, or you can't even bring yourself too. All you can do is lay there and wait for it to be over while your significant other suffers with you helplessly. You can't find the words to explain what you're going through; they won't understand. You're gone - (you're too late). "You're cold with disappointment While I'm drowning in the next room The last contagious victim of this plague between us I'm sick with apprehension I'm crippled from exhaustion And I dread the moment when you finally come to kill me" You did something self-destructive/reckless to help the pain and disappoint your significant other. Which only makes the depression worse and makes you feel even more lonely (while I'm downing in the next room). Your anxiety/depression is taking its toll on your relationship. You don't know what to do (I'm sick with apprehension) and you're too fucked up to even try (I'm crippled from exhaustion). And you dread the moment that your significant other decides that they can't deal with it anymore and leave/break up with you. |

| I think this one is pretty obvious; it's about the love of being high and the feelings it gives you. I'm guessing heroin because he's talking about a "needle in the red". Good song, good album. :) | |

| No, it's 'rape yourself' in the original version. In the radio edit they made it cleaner by using 'rake'. | |

| Okay, seriously? Of course Ronnie was great; he's the one that got the band going and he did take it pretty far. But then he screwed up. You can't blame them for replacing him, he made a bad decision and the band had to move on. Craig is no Ronnie, but he's got balls and is the best replacement they could've hoped for. At least Ronnie is starting Falling In Reverse (which damn well better come out soon!). Just accept it already. And you can't take credit away from Craig, he's still rocking it. | |

I read in an interview somewhere that Craig was inspired by Watchmen, so yes, that's where the line "You just don't get it do you, I'm not stuck here with you, you're stuck in here with me" comes from. "We cannot stop the growth" kinda means to me that's he's growing with the band or maybe he's making the band grow bigger and better? Just a thought. :) |
