My interspretation is that it is a man who has been emotionally abused by many women. However, the man is feeling his head caving and he doubts if he ever felt loved and he is well, angry. Basically, the girlfriend is causing lowering his confidence by saying she never felt good enough, so the boyfriend never committed to her needs. He starts to doubt if he is affectionate. "This ain't over, no not here, not while I still need you Around You don't owe me, we might change Yeah, yeah we just might feel good" He needs the girl, and the emotional abuse won't stop. He hopes the two of them might change and the relationship might be good. "I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will I wanna take you for granted I wanna take you for granted Yeah I will, I will" Here is where the man becomes angry. He wants to push the girl around, so she could feel what she is doing to him. Pushing around is criticizing them at everything, I believe. Pushing them down means throwing a person into a depression, which the girl is doing. Taking for granted, is self explanatory, the girl takes him lighty. However, he says the truth will hurt her. The girl causes more abuses by pushing herself away from him. The man has terrible self esteem, he considers himself "dirty" "Don't just stand there, say nice things to me I've been cheated I've been wronged, and you You don't know me, yeah well I can't change well I won't do anything at all" Here, the girl is saying nice things that don't mean anything. And the man has been cheated and scarred by this girl and past relationships. He is so scarred he can't change. Things are falling apart, and the girl is rushing to leave him again. I think this is about a man who has a multiple personality. The day has come to an end, the sun is over my head. My polyamorous friend, Got me in a mess of trouble again. So... The days is done and his life is going good (Sun over my head). However the Polyamorous "friend" (his multiple personality) has caused him into a mess of trouble. Just when you think that you're all right I'm calling out from the inside. I never heard anyone, I never listen at all. I find this to be from the other personality. Saying to not think he will be Alright and that the side is "calling" him out from the inside (Known as his mind taking on the personality). The side never heard anyone and never listened to his other "side" and his friends and family to stop. They've come to get me again. The cloud is over my head. my ployamorus friend, got me in a mess of trouble again So... The friends and family are getting to him and his life is ruined (They've come to get me again,The cloud is over my head.) The "friend" gets him into more trouble. Just stay away from the white light, I'll tell ya what side's your best side. I never heard anyone, I never listen at all. The White light could be the way he gets his other Polyamorous side off. The Polyamorous side is saying he will tell the guy(guy who has two personalties) which side is his best side. The side also never heard or listen to anyone or friends and family. I believe this song isa bout a relationship that isn't really real, yet only the boyfriend knows. It's a scam and he remarks the relationship scam for the two of them.
