this song really stuck out to me when I was listening to the live stream of their album. I instantly thought of his wife Misha, and the situation they likely were in when they found out she was pregnant. According to them they met in February and were married by June, and she was pregnant before the ceremony. Sounds like a pretty rushed thing as he started dating her basically straight away after his engagement to Chauntelle was broken. The lyrics lead me to believe it could be about that period of time, but I could be wrong. The over all theme of being "scared" and talking about it being "her body" and how they are "so young" and talking over the options of "doing it alone or not" but then him coming to the realization that "this is right where I should be" makes it sound like she was afraid to have a baby so young but he felt like it was meant to be for him to be with her and for them to have the child together. I don't know, I could be totally offbase but that's my two cents. |
