On Tommy's facebook, someone asked about this and he clarified that it's the following: "We have to look up. Simple peasants. Who the fucks we can all be on this similar plane?" |

Continuing my idea: Prospect 1: He's lost time on this island. Evidence from the words state he actually is on the moon, and not an island. His boat was a ship and he was stranded on the moon. He loses his way and he doesn't know what to do with himself. Prospect 2: He's stuck in hypersleep and can't open his eyes. He's no longer in control and he's regretting the choices he's made. He could have stopped what was happening. The parenthesis are almost a direct excerpt from Lost Perfection A + B in which the world is basically ending in a fire. He manages to open his eyes and wake from the hypersleep; but it's too late. The world is desolate and he is alone. Everyone he ever loved is gone and he will die alone. I'd love for some criticism and other ideas to perfect the story. |

Continuing my idea from Specular Reflection: Prospect 1: He managed to create a radio device to ask for help. He wants to be liberated from this island. The radio worked and some people have found him. Prospect 2: He loses his grip on reality while crafting a machine, a vessel. (This is a confusing part to me) Things start to go wrong, possibly the earth falling apart around him. A part of me thinks he's built a time machine, but that conflicts with my hypothesis on the next song. The other hypothesis is that the vessel is a hypersleep chamber to basically speed up everything around him. |

I'll do my best with what I got from this. This continues the story told by Swim to the Moon. Prospect 1: He landed on a desert island, happy to be away. But eventually he misses society, in spite of its imperfections. There's inhabitants that do like... experiments on him. And he wants to 'wake up.' Prospect 2: He wakes up. Leaving society was just a dream. He's incredibly confused, but has a plan. In prospects 1 + 2, he's reflecting back on himself and wanting to change, because he's discontent with his life in either scenario. |
