Ok! Now this is my interpretation.........so you can ignore it or read it. And the lyrics are so macabre because the one who wrote them watched "The Nighmare before Christmas" and he was "hit by inspiration"......so the lyrics go round the movie "The Nighmare before Christmas"+the writers own ideeas. If there was no "[I miss you,miss you]" , "The shadow in backround of the morgue" and "The unsespecting victim of darkness in the valley" the song will have a totaly different meaning.....so lets see how this goes...... Hello there...... It means that they havent met yet! .........the angel from my nightmare He dreams of her and asociates her with an angel because he thinks that she can "save" him. We can live like Jack and Sally if we want Jack and Sally are the main characters from The Nightmare before Christmas.......they were 2 dead people(for more info watch the whole movie)......what that means is that he is`nt afraid of death if she is near him Where you can always find me He will allways wait for her......life or death And we'll have Halloween on Christmas Some references to the movie And in the night we'll wish this never ends He actualy wishes that they could be together even in the after-life Where are you.............. He grows really anxious and really wants her near ...........and I'm so sorry I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight He is sorry because he cant sleep(if he sleeps he can dream her).......he has this illusion that he comunicates with her if he sleeps I need somebody and always He is empty of everything even if he has all other things........but not her This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting everytime This "darkness" is actualy his dark thought that she may not ever come......and it haunts him everytime And as I stared I counted the webs from all the spiders catching things and eating their insides Meaning that he is waiting for her......for all that long.....and he just doesnt give up! Like indecision to call you His "indecision" is actualy his incapability to call her......`cause he doesnt know her Or.....it`s the fact that he cant sleep.....so he cant "call" her And hear your voice of treason and so he cant hear her speaking(in his dreams) and saing that she is comeing and that he should wait for her Will you come home and stop this pain tonight Will she come home tonight?.......he askes himself if tonight is the night Don't waste your time on me your already the voice inside my head He has no doubt about their love As i said! These is my ideea of the songs meaning.......that he is waiting for her and will allways be! Add YOUR ideea(comment) to my ideea but dont criticise it(`cause its only an ideea)! Oh,yeah!
