I agree! I think it's fairly depressing that a person working at a music store could get MBV confused with an emo band with a similar name, or be even just generally confused about who they are. MBV is THE iconic shoegaze band and I'm pretty sure I've been aware of that since I was 15 and first getting into awesome music.
Perhaps I'm just spoiled because I live in a city with a great record store/music culture and I think people selling music should be knowledgeable about music :\ |
