You want proof that this song is about Courtney? Kurt was a Pisces. Courtney was a Cancer. Kurt was HIGHLY into astrology, he even referenced his Piscean behavior in his suicide note. When Cancers "turn black" it means they go into one of their moody, dark moods, and begin to passive aggressively act out towards the one they love. This can include giving constant criticism and advice, which Courtney was very fond of. Courtney is the meat eating orchid. Beautiful yet ruthless. He is cutting himself on angel hair and baby's breathe. Their love is soft and beautiful yet it cuts him deeply and causes him pain. Cancers are VERY motherly. He says throw down your umbilical noose, she has him attached like a child, so he can climb right back. I know Kurt said that this song was about kids with cancer when he was playing it. He was probably pissed at Courtney, or didn't want to admit that he wrote this sarcastic song about her. No matter what though, this is about her. It was convenient and humorous that this song uses the word cancer and so many people immediately believe it is Kurt's humanitarian heart, what they WANT to see in him. |
